The National Tree Day was celebrated on
the site of the Lagoon at the rear of the Driving Centre on Oaklands
Road where our Club, in conjunction with the Brighton Kiwanis Club,
built two Viewing Platforms.
Over 60 residents and members combined to
make the day an outstanding success. 40 special shrubs supplied by the
Council were planted in and around the lagoon.
After the planting was completed the Club
provided a BBQ for the local residents and members. Everyone present
was given a Bennie and shopping bag by the national sponsor AMP.
