The Lions Club of Edwardstown has since Charter been very keen to provide awards to prominent members of the community and members of the Club.

To this date the Club has provided eight Melvin Jones Fellowships and 46 James D Richardson Honour Awards for members of the community and club members, making it the largest provider of the James D Richardson Honour Awards in the Multiple District.

On the occasion of the Handover Night in June 2005 President Tony French presented to Dr Mark Moore a Melvin Jones Fellow Award for Dedicated Humanitarian Services to the people of East Timor from Lions Clubs International Foundation.
