Sir Charles Bright Scholarship

On Wednesday 27th February, Lion Kevin Martin and Lions Lady Lyn and Lion Tony French Accompanied by Lady’s Auxiliary President Sharon attended the Sir Charles Bright Scholarship presentations  in the City.

Edwardstown Lions have supported the Sir Charles Bright Scholarship for many years.

The Scholarships are awarded to disabled persons undertaking post secondary education, whether at University, TAFE or other recognised educational institutions.  Scholarships of $1,000 are presented annually. The Sir Charles Bright Scholarship is administered by a Board of Trustees.

Rosemary Penn explained to those present the history of the Sir Charles Bright Scholarship.  She then introduced the recipients, who had travelled, from as far away as Port Pirie, to attend the presentation.

Lion Kevin presented the Scholarship from The Edwardstown Lions Club to Steven Kemp.  Steven, from Dover Gardens, is studying physiotherapy at Regency Tafe.
