Mitsubishi Last Supper

THE LAST SUPPER

EDWARDSTOWN LIONS CLUB SERVED MITSUBISHI WORKERS BREAKFAST ON FRIDAY 28^TH MARCH 2008 FOR THEIR LAST DAY.

(Adelaide, 28/3/2008) -- Members of the Edwardstown Lions Club catered for 900 Mitsubishi workers on site at Tonsley Park today. 18 members of the Lions Club and the Ladies Auxiliary cooked breakfast for the Mitsubishi workers on their last day.

Funds raised will be used to support Overseas Specialist Surgical Association of Australia Inc (OSSAA), (to help their specialized surgical service work in Timor and Eastern Indonesia) and the Lions own Campaign Sight First II which has raised over USD150 Milion to cure World Blindness.

According to President Ian Dowdy of Edwardstown Lions Club, “Money raised today will allow Lions to meet pressing needs in our community. Lions members thank everyone who contributes to this important work. You are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community.”

The Edwardstown Lions Club has 33 members and meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the Marion Hotel, Mitchell Park. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
