On Saturday,
16th August, Lion Tony French and Sharon, the President of the
Edwardstown Ladies Auxiliary attended the Adelaide Eisteddfod in Colonel
Light Gardens. The Edwardstown Lions Club has sponsored the Colin Finlayson
Memorial Piano Solo for many years. This wintery August Saturday morning,
gave no hint to the excellent performances by the 18 years and under Youth
who participated.
They had to play
two contrasting pieces of their own choice, with a time limit of a minimum
of 10 mins and 15 mins maximum. All participants were excellent with a
variety of choice in their repertoire. However their can only be one
winner.

Grynchuk, Second – Thomas Koo, Third - Tobias Pearce, Honourable Mention –
Will Roxburgh.
Lion Tony
presented the Winners with their Certificates and Prize money. Tony was
asked to say a few words to the audience attending.
The Participation
of the Edwardstown Lions Club is much appreciated by the participants and
the Adelaide Eisteddfod Society and they are looking forward to us
participating again next year.
