47th  Charter Anniversary  

On Wednesday, 18^th November 2009 the 47^th Charter Anniversary was celebrated and a Citizenship Ceremony was conducted. 

For the fifth year the Club dedicated Anniversary night as a Citizenship night with the Marion Council Director of City Development Mr Adrian Skull conducting the ceremony this year. Since the Club started Hosting the Ceremony 24 people have become Australian Citizens.  

The candidates were 3 from Russia, 2 from Scotland, 2 from Bulgaria, 1 from Canada, 3 from India, 3 from China, 3 from Malaysia, 1 from Sudan, 1 from France, 1 from Romania, 1 from Germany, 1 from Brazil, 1 from Poland and 1 from Sweden. 

On this occasion 5 people were involved from Romania, Germany, Brazil, Poland and Sweden.  

As this was the Charter Anniversary night Past District Governor Bob Radford re-presented the Charter to President Raelene Welsh.
